Base Price

The benchmark price is the initial calculation price of the grid strategy. The system will use the benchmark price as the starting point, combined with the trigger conditions set by the user, to calculate the grids above and below the benchmark price, and monitor in real time whether the stock market price touches the grids. When the market price touches the set grids up or down, the trigger price will become the new benchmark price, and new grids will be calculated according to the trigger conditions.

For example: As shown in the figure below, the grid trading is set up with a benchmark price of 172.

1.The simulated market moves from 172 to 167.

  • 172 -> 170, triggers a buy of 2 shares of AAPL, and the benchmark price changes from 172 to 170.
  • 170 -> 168, triggers a buy of 2 shares of AAPL, and the benchmark price changes from 170 to 168.
  • 168 -> 167, does not trigger a buy.

2. Simulated market moves from 167 to 170.

  • 167 -> 170, triggers a sell of 2 shares of AAPL, and the benchmark price changes from 168 to 170.
